Servicing

Motorbike Servicing.

Servicing is what stops small things becoming expensive things. We do interim and full services on every make, and we do a lot of high-mileage delivery bikes, so we know what wears out first and what can wait.

Questions we get asked

Straight answers. If yours is not here, message us.

How often should I service my motorbike?

Most manufacturers ask for an interim service every 3,000 to 4,000 miles and a full service every 6,000 to 8,000 miles, or once a year if you ride less than that. Check your handbook, and if you are doing delivery mileage you will need servicing more often than a weekend rider.

What is the difference between an interim and a full service?

An interim service covers oil, filter, chain and the safety-critical checks. A full service adds spark plugs, air filter, valve clearances and the fluids. If you are unsure which you need, tell us your mileage and we will tell you.

How much does a motorbike service cost?

It depends on the bike and on whether it is an interim or a full service, so we quote per bike rather than publishing one number that would be wrong for most people. Send us the make, model and mileage on WhatsApp and we will price it.

Do you service delivery bikes?

Yes, a lot of them. High-mileage delivery bikes need more frequent servicing than the manufacturer schedule assumes, and we will tell you what actually needs doing rather than selling you the whole list.

Will servicing here affect my warranty?

No. As long as the service is done to schedule with the right parts, an independent garage cannot invalidate a manufacturer warranty. We stamp your book.
